A Bit More About Me.

I’ve always been drawn to helping others. I started my career as a nurse, working as a school Sister and eventually as the nurse on board a yacht, sailing around the world. Whilst on board, I injured my back and discovered the power of osteopathy — and it changed everything. From my cabin, I made the decision to retrain.

Osteopathy is in my blood. My Great Uncle and Aunt were graduates of Kirksville college of Osteopathic Medicine in the early 1900’s and were pioneers of Osteopathy in the Cranial field. They were among those who brought this specialism to the UK from America and together with their descendants (four generations of Osteopaths!) they continue to inspire me in my practice.

I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2012 with a degree in Osteopathy and have been treating patients ever since, alongside bringing up my own family. My background in nursing has shaped my approach: gentle, thorough, and focused on the whole person.

I treat people of all ages, from newborns to older adults, using both a structural and a cranial approach to treatment. I continue to deepen my skills through training with the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy where  their approach underpins much of my practice.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me outdoors — walking, tennis, yoga, music, skiing (when I get the chance!) and the odd triathlon.

Nature and movement are a big part of how I recharge.
